How much do clear aligners cost in the UK?
Most dentist-supervised UK clear aligner treatments range from £2,000 to £5,500 depending on case complexity and the brand. Smila is fixed at £2,000–£2,400 — all-in, no per-appointment extras. -
Why is Smila cheaper than Invisalign or other big brands?
We control the lab, the clinical workflow and the supply chain — so the same materials (Zendura Flex), the same clinical oversight, but without the brand premium and margin loaded into the headline price. -
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Interest-free (0% APR) finance is available up to 12 months, subject to status and credit check. Longer terms (18, 24 or 36 months) are available from 9.9% APR. We also offer in-house instalments over 6 months by direct debit, with no third-party credit check. We talk you through every option at your free consultation. -
Is the initial consultation really free?
Yes. Your initial consultation with a Smila dentist is completely free — we listen to your goals, examine your teeth and tell you honestly whether clear aligners are right for your case. If you choose to move forward to a 3D scan and personalised treatment plan, that's a separate £200 charged on the day of the scan. The plan is yours to keep, whether you proceed with treatment or not. -
What if I need more aligners later?
Each plan includes a defined number of refinements. If your case calls for more, we tell you the cost in writing before you commit — no surprises mid-treatment. -
Is the price the same whether I straighten one arch or both?
Single-arch cases may qualify for the Basic plan; both arches typically sit in Premium or Ultimate. The plan and price are agreed in writing at the end of your consultation.
