Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 May 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the smila.uk website (the "Site"), operated by Smila Aligners Ltd ("Smila", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16991984), with registered office at 3-4 Norfolk Place, London, W2 1QN.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About this site

This Site provides information about Smila's clear aligner system, our treatment process, pricing, and patient stories. It is a marketing and informational website, not a service-delivery platform — clinical treatment is provided in person by qualified UK dental professionals after assessment.

2. No medical or dental advice

The content on this Site is for general information only. It is not a substitute for professional dental or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Smila does not, through this Site, provide individual clinical assessments, recommendations, or treatment plans.

Always seek the advice of a qualified dentist or other healthcare provider with any questions you have about your dental health. Suitability for clear aligner treatment can only be confirmed after an in-person clinical assessment.

Do not delay seeking advice, or disregard advice you have received, because of something you read on this Site.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any related systems
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site in a way that could damage, disable or overburden it
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Site without our written permission
  • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information through any form on the Site

4. Intellectual property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, videos, the Smila name and brand, and the underlying code — is owned by Smila Aligners Ltd or our licensors, and is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

You may view and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, or republish any content from this Site without our prior written consent.

5. User-submitted content

If you submit information through any form on the Site (for example, the contact form), you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use the information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party links

The Site may include links to third-party websites or services (for example, our Calendly booking page, Instagram, Facebook). We have no control over the content or practices of these third parties, and accept no responsibility for them. Following a third-party link is at your own risk and subject to that third party's terms and privacy policy.

7. Reviews and testimonials

Patient stories, reviews and before/after content shown on the Site reflect the personal experiences of individuals at the time of treatment. Results vary from person to person, and past outcomes are not a guarantee of future results.

8. Pricing and offers

Prices and payment plans shown on the Site are indicative and subject to clinical assessment. Final pricing for treatment is confirmed in writing as part of your individual treatment plan, after consultation. We reserve the right to update prices and offers on the Site at any time.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations — express or implied — about the accuracy, completeness, reliability or availability of the Site or its content. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

Subject to the above, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings arising out of or related to your use of the Site.

11. Changes to the Site and Terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Terms in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
